Southwest Florida's Master Builder

Custom Builder and New Construction

The Triad Group

The Triad Group

Since 1981, The Triad Group has successfully completed hundreds of new construction and remodeling projects; projects such as custom homes, churches, condominiums, shopping centers, restaurants, tenant build outs, whole house remodels, kitchen and bath remodels, and additions.

At Triad remodeling is not just an afterthought, something to do when new construction has taken a down turn. Our staff is experienced, trained, and EPA LEAD CERTIFIED so we are qualified to handle any remodeling job no matter when the building was constructed. We have specialized in both New Construction and Remodeling for 30 years, and no job is too small or too large for our experienced staff.

We can deliver your project in a variety of formats, DESIGN/BUILD, GENERAL CONTRACTOR, or CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT.

Choose the format that fits your need and Triad will work with you to bring your project to completion within budget and on time.

EPA Lead Certified

On April 22, 2008, the EPA issued a rule requiring the use of lead-safe practices and other actions aimed at preventing lead poisoning. Under the rule, beginning April 22, 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

The EPA requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 homes, child care facilities and schools be certified by EPA and that they use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers to follow lead-safe work practices.

Contractors must use lead-safe work practices and follow three simple procedures:

  • Contain the work area.
  • Minimize dust.
  • Clean up thoroughly.
Triad was one of the first construction companies to be an EPA Lead certified firm in Southwest Florida. In addition we have 3 EPA Lead Certified Renovators on staff. We are trained and equipped to take on remodeling projects of buildings built before 1978.

Design/Build

Design/Build is the best format for the owner and the contractor. With Design/Build we as the general contractor are an integral player in the design process. We work with the owner, architect, and engineer to insure the project is designed to take advantage of construction practices and techniques that will provide the owner with the most for the money. In addition, our professional staff’s education and knowledge of engineering and structure and our many years of experience in the construction industry results in our involvement being an invaluable tool in this process. In remodeling this involvement is extremely important as it takes an experienced construction expert to analyze what exists and what needs to be done to the existing building as well as the design of the new to make the remodel work and seem like it was always a part of the original structure. This collaboration at the design stage most often results in economical constructability and construction cost savings to the owner without giving up functionality. Once the design is complete we continue with the project organizing and executing the construction to completion.

General Contractor

The traditional method of project delivery is as a General Contractor. The owner is responsible for choosing a design a design professional and the contractor. The owner presents their completed plans and we as a general contractor are responsible for organizing and executing the construction activities throughout the project. We are not involved in the design process. Whether you are building new or remodeling you have a distinct advantage with Triad as we do most of our work with our in house crews of craftsmen. This gives us an incredible amount of control and flexibility on the job. In addition, we have developed a very talented network of sub-contractors who are experienced, reputable, and financially sound. They understand our expectations regarding attention to detail, quality, and staying on schedule and within budget. This is a winning combination and results in successful completion of projects and happy owners.

Construction Management/Owner Representation

Construction management/Owner representation is a fee-based service that can contain a number of variables, in which the construction manager is responsible exclusively to the owner and acts in the owner’s interest at every stage of the project. We can offer unbiased and professional advice on matters such as cost control, project scheduling, enhancing design and quality, optimum use of available funds just to name a few. With our many years of experience and our highly educated and trained professional staff we can provide comprehensive construction management at every stage of the project.

The Triad Group

At Triad we believe Green Building is not a trend, it is the future of our industry. We have a LEED AP on staff to address your green building needs. One of our future goals is to have every project we build meet or exceed green building standards ensuring they are not only built to our high standards but are also on the cutting edge of environmental stewardship.

LEED AP

LEED stands for “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design” and is an internationally recognized green building certification system developed by the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council), it provides a concise framework and third-party verification that a building was designed and built using strategies, materials, and techniques aimed at improving performance in energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts. LEED is flexible enough to apply to residential and commercial, new construction and remodeling.
