Michael Peters is a Chicago native and is a graduate of Drake University (BS Business Administration) and Northwestern University (BS Civil Engineering). In 1975 he moved to Florida and started working in the construction industry. Working and learning the business from the ground up he gained experience in every trade and became one of the state’s youngest certified general contractors. In 1977 Mike founded DMI, Inc., our sister company dmihomes.com, a very successful entry-level home builder that has built thousands of homes across Southwest Florida. In 1981, sensing a need for an experienced general contractor, with a “hands-on” approach, in custom residential and commercial construction, he founded The Triad Group. Mike’s education along with his many years of “hands-on” experience in the Florida Construction Industry make him a remarkably qualified general contractor.
Marla J. Peters is not technically a Florida native, but has lived in Fort Myers since 1955. At The Triad Group, family means more than just family members. Our talented and dedicated team of employees has been very important to our company’s success over the years. Most of our employees have been with us at least 10 years and some since the company was founded in 1981. Family members, employees, and sub contractors all make up The Triad Group family and team.
”My family has worked with The Triad Group since the mid 1980's.
One of the key advantages in using The Triad Group was that they are a 'one-stop-shop'. They are unique in employing their own crews of highly experienced carpenters, painters, stucco/plaster mechanics, as well as having their own 'in-house' cabinet shop. This versatile construction approach provides The Triad Group with the rarely encountered ability to internally manage both quality and schedule and therefore produce the highest quality product at the best price.
We found The Triad Group to be reliable, professional and highly skilled.”
